Are you an aspiring fantasy football millionaire? Are you interested in improving your shot at a million dollars each week? By looking through each week’s millionaire maker lineups throughout the NFL season, you can gain insight into key strategies and how winning lineups are constructed.
The winning lineup for the millionaire maker on DraftKings this last week was set by "bassinmatt". This lineup was constructed using relatively chalky players with everyone selected being over 6% owned. In DFS terms this is a relatively high owned group of players selected, who happened to miss out on the highest owned selections for the week.
Mitchell Trubisky – 8.8% Ownership – 36.42 Points
Mitch continues to dominate for DFS owners. He threw up a stellar line against a Patriots defense that had been torched by Patrick Mahomes the previous week. His ownership has been creeping back up the last few weeks, but to still have only 8.8% owned for one of the highest scorers for the week is great value.
Latavius Murray – 8.1% Ownership – 22.30 Points
In the one game this season that Dalvin Cook hasn’t played, Latavius Murray showed up in a big way. He was a great play here, with suppressed ownership even after his big performance against Arizona. This was a solid play for GPPs this week as Cook missed again, and moving forward, Murray is a solid play even with an eventually returning Dalvin Cook.
Tarik Cohen – 22.67% Ownership – 22.30 Points
Cohen was the highest-owned player on the day for the eventual winning lineup. He was pegged as a great play due to his speed, and for the Patriots inability to keep up throughout the whole game. He was contained in the first half, and then amassed a majority of the points in the second half as he wore the Patriots down with his speed. Cohen has put together three stellar weeks in a row, and his salary hasn’t crept up enough to not make him a great value in the coming weeks.
Jarvis Landry – 11.61% Ownership – 25.70 Points
If Landry didn’t produce this week, it would have been shocking. This was his softest matchup to date, and he trekked back towards being one of the top receivers in PPR formats. As he continues to build rapport with Mayfield, Landry will get back to being an absolute crusher with the volume he is getting.
Brandin Cooks – 11.79% Ownership – 17.10 Points
With Cooper Kupp being out, one of the Rams receivers had to be targeted against the 49ers. Even in a game where you would expect Gurley to dominate, Cooks showed out with a solid performance.
John Brown – 11.8% Ownership – 29.40 Points
John Brown was the player pegged to be in all of my lineups. He leads the league in air yards and had a stellar matchup against the injury ridden Saints secondary. He has great rapport with Flacco and has one of the softest schedules for the remainder of the season a wide receiver could ask for.
Trey Burton – 6.48% Ownership – 30.60 Points
Trey Burton and Zach Ertz represented the tight end position well this week. Burton has become something of a safety blanket for Mitch Trubisky as he was targeted early and often in this game. He should continue to command a large target share for the Bears going into the second half of the season.
Alshon Jeffery – 12.18% Ownership – 21.80 Points
The Panthers have been dominated by big receivers over the past couple of weeks. This, along with Carson Wentz getting back into form provided great results for Jeffery this week. The Panthers are a team to target for speedy receivers for the remainder of the season.
Rams Defense – 7.47% Ownership – 23 Points
This was the best play of the week for defense. CJ Beathard and the 49ers could not keep up with this defense that has at times underperformed this year.
